| My
inspiration comes from a nostalgic view of the past, from
carefree schooldays to vintage interiors and fashions. I often
begin by creating a paper collage scene which I then translate
into either hand or machine appliqué using a variety
of textures, embellished with both hand and machine embroidery.
The finished piece has a naive style where nothing is to scale
and objects appear stylised.
